Starting his second season as a graduate assistant, Richard Mayson comes to Northwest after a four-year playing career at Truman University. A tight end for the Bulldogs,

Mayson started all 11 games in 2006 with his twin brother, Josh, averaging 14.2 yards per reception. He was a three-time MIAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll recipient, graduating in 2007 with a history and education degree.

A letterwinner in football, basketball and track at Mexico (Mo.) High School, Mayson graduated in 2002. He was the state triple jump champion and a member of a state champion track and field team.
